It’s time to give your summer laundry the what-for!
Vivifying Vodka
Let’s get right down to business: clothes get smelly in the summer. Sometimes seriously smelly. But if you are looking for a way to freshen up clothes between washes -- and cut down on your laundry pile in the meantime -- a spray bottle full of vodka does wonders to cut down on that smell.
Re-wearing clothes isn’t a big deal, anyways. We won’t tell if you don’t.
Chalking Up Some Clean
Stains are common all year round, and summer is no stranger to them, either. If you are running into grease stain problems, there’s an easy solution -- chalk. Simply use the chalk on the stain before putting it through the wash. Easy peasy!
Sorting Isn’t Just for Hats
The longer you wait to do laundry, the more it is going to pile up. You can be proactive about that pile though -- as soon as you are done wearing something, sort it! The earlier in the process you sort your laundry, the fewer precious summertime hours you have to waste later in the process.
Freeze Wrinkles in Their Tracks
Put that iron away -- it’s too hot in the summer! Instead, throw your dry, wrinkled items back in the dryer with a couple of ice cubes. It’s not magic -- just steam at work!
Sock Roundup
You may spend most of summer wearing sandals, but that doesn’t mean that you are going to be lucky enough to go a few months without having to wash any socks. To help make the sock-washing process easier, wash them in a mesh laundry bag. This will keep them together and makes folding and pairing SO. MUCH. EASIER.
We’d hate to see you waste your summer doing laundry, so keep these tips in mind! And if you need any other help with your washer, just give us a call. We’ll be glad to help you with all your washing needs no matter the season or reason.
